What ARE semaglutide and TIRZEPATIDE?
Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide) agonists, a peptide that targets an area of the brain that regulates appetite and food intake. They are appetite suppressants and control blood sugar spikes. They also slow gut transit time.
Do NOT USE SEMAGLUTIDE or Tirzepatide IF:
You have kidney or liver problems.
You have a history of pancreatititis.
You have type 1 diabetes.
You have a history of hypoglycemia.
You have a history of gallbladder disease.
You have a history of depression or mental health disease.
You have stomach or intestine problems.
You had thyroid cancer or a family history of thyroid cancer.
You had endocrine tumors or a family history of endocrine tumors.
You have eye disease or vision problems.
Prior allergic reaction to semiglutide/tirzepatide or similar medications.
You are pregnant, trying to get pregnant or breastfeeding.
Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are weekly injectionS given subcutaneously, under the skin.
This is usually given in the abdominal area and the dose is increased slowly to avoid side effects. You can also inject into the upper arms and thighs.
